Our design of skeletons frolicking in a graveyard uses as its source, 19th-century illustrations by the celebrated (and notorious) Japanese artist Kawanabe Kyōsai 河鍋暁斎 1831-1889.
Nicknamed "The Painting Demon" by a mentor, likely for his prolific output – and fondness for sake, he is credited with creating the first manga magazine in 1874.
